Big Cat Electric Bikes story has its roots in a compassionate response to help others. The founder was inspired by the e-bikes he’d seen on business trips to Asia, then went to work creating a pedal assist, electric powered bicycle to help folks improve their level of physical activity and mobility. A few years ago I purchased 4 Big Cat Folding Electric Bikes. The local franchise did a great job helping us select the best bikes for our needs and when they came in fully assembled them. Outside of a few minor adjustments, the bikes work well. If you need the exercise, you can pedal with little assist or use it fully powered. They work great and can be folded up for easy storage! The only thing I wish the industry could improve is the cost of the Lithium batteries and that's just the way it is...”

My husband and I bought 2 electric bikes from Vinny @ Big Cat & it’s one of the best purchases we have ever made. We... live in Long Beach & enjoy biking to & on the Rockaway Boardwalk. It makes riding into the wind a “breeze.” It’s not a lazy person’s bike as you can choose use no power, power assist, or full power if you choose. We have even put our bikes on the Rockaway Ferry to bike around NYC. Biking is one of our favorite means of leisure/exercise as we also own cruisers & mountain bikes, but adding the electric bikes has added an efficient mode of travel. If you are on the fence about buying one I would highly recommend Big Cat. Excellent customer service. Vinny took great care of fitting us with a model that was just right for us individually as I am a foot shorter then my husband :)Great purchase. Lots of fun!read more

The company that made my e-bike went out of business so when I had a problem with the battery, it was hard to find out... where I could get a new battery. Finally found that the battery manufacturer didn't make that size battery any longer so I was stuck thinking I needed a new bike. Found Big Cat in Patchogue and took my bike there. They were wonderful! Retrofitted a new battery slide in and got a new battery and was good to go. Reasonable price and great, fast service.Just took my bike back from the shop where they replaced a broken deraillur and shifting mechanism. Again, great work and done really quickly. Remarkable how they diagnose the problem and are excellent at being able to work out how to get the bike back on the road at a reasonable price. Would highly recommend for any work one needed on their e-bike.read more

Just watched the People’s Court and a case that some guy purchased a bike back in 2016 and he clearly was using it as a... mountain bike and breaking it. Big Cat kept sending him replacement parts and the guy just wasn’t happy. That guy lost his case but the rep for Big Cat was awesome with how much they bend over backwards to satisfy the customer. In the end, ever thought the customer lost the case Big Cat still gave the customer a free bike. Wow…. Way to go to please a (unreliable) customerread more

My friend purchased an electric bike from Big Cat which he loved. After I took his bike out for a spin, I was so... impressed that I immediately purchased my own bike from Big Cat. The bikes are designed beautifully and I am getting exercise while having fun. The steepest hills are a breeze. The Big Cat staff are so friendly and accommodating that I would recommend them on that alone. This is a great local, owner operated business to support. Im very happy with my bike, I love that I can pedal a long... distance and if I don’t feel like pedaling all the way back I can use assist or not pedal at all and use full auto. Very helpful staff, Manny spent time going over the bike to make sure it was ready to ride and teaching how to use the bike and giving tips on how to get the most out of the bike. Very happy I did not buy from an online store because now I have a good relationship with a local business in case I have other electric bike needs. A friend tried my bike and went to Big Cat the next day and bought one for himself, so yes I do recommend doing business with this company.read more

Purchased the Big Cat 2022 Fat Cat XXL 750. I dealt that with Michael for Sales and he was helpful and patient with all... my questions. I was allowed to try several bikes on test rides. It was a hard choice! All the bikes were pretty awesome.So, I made my choice and we arranged for pick up some time the following day. I was very pleased when I was called a short while later they had assembled my bike and If I’d like I could pick it up before the closed. I shot back over to Big Cat Bikes and Jose and Pedro were very cool and helped me go over perks of the bike and even helped me load it into my truck. They did a great job... explaining the differences between the bikes to me as well as reviewing the features of the bike and the warranty policy. Let me share something with you about my Fat Cat XL E-bike.I live in Northern Vermont, this bike has... been through rain, sleet, mud, dirt, snow, rocks, and even my neighbors yard.Its powerful, fast, convenient, and is a sheer pleasure to ride.I use my Bike mostly to get to and from work, it a short little commute of about 4.8 miles. I blast through this in a few minutes, riding both on and off road as Vermont is quite rural even in its city's. Currently I am conquering ice chunks and potholes, snow banks and snowplows with ease.It's not just the bike that makes this such a great item but the service team at Big Cats is where you really win.
